Uni chip and exhaust in 1kz

Hi boys,
Wanting to put an exhaust and chip on my 1kz ,a very reputable diesel workshop hear in Perth recommended the Uni Chip, that's fine and will go along with his recommendation they also use several other makes but the uni chip was recomended for the 1kz , I Want it for towing a caravan question is is anyone using the Uni chip and what do you think of it, I know chips have been discussed at length so information appreciateed.
Cheers Alan. PS also said mild steel exhaust as diesels dont wear them out like petrol engines wich I though was good,

I went to GTurbo in Balcatta. I got a UniChip and GTurbo from them. Cost $6490. The power is awesome

That said, I discovered, after they did the work, that they aren't official UniChip dealers, which means that UniChip won't cover your car if they screw it up. However, GTurbo cover their own work/warranties. Something to think about...

G'day Dabeanian, how did you get on with your Uni Chip and exhaust? I am thinking about getting a chip and exhaust for my 1kz and would be interested in hearing how much you payed and what the performance/ economy was like afterwards.

Hello boys,
Did get the Manta 3 inch from the turbo no cat been some weeks now does have a nice tone not to noisy doesn't seem to have made that much difference, still getting 12 and a bit to the 100 was going to see how it tows the caravan and then decide on a chip, don't want my economy to go much worse , with a chip but some people say that the economy gets better as well as the performance, getting close to 200 000 now and considered injectors, that said the economy seems about right for the 1kz , mate has just changed to an dual cab Isuzu 3ltr TD 6 speed auto / manual / sequential box goes like a rocket Economy excellent .

I just put a rebuilt set of injectors into my 1KZ.. 270 on it holy crap what a difference! 1200 ks over the weeked and got 200 more ks than the old injectors if i didnt go on the beach and work the car hard in soft sand with 40 psi tyres i would have got another 100 odd i think ... 528$ they cost me i was up around 14lt per 100 before now took atlest 2 lt off that highly recommend it and easy to do no special tools

Sounds good Scottkz, I'm near 200 000 was thinking of doing mine, getting 12.3 ish per 100 so not sure of much better,where did you get your injectors from and any make? What kind of a job was it,

Allied diesel turbo in wangara there genuine rebuilt
Cooler off injector lines off few other bits 21mm long reach socket
I got heaps more power too should have done it many moons ago

yep Allied are pretty good. they did mine last year too. he even showed me how it all works and what they actually do. nice fella

Still no feedback on recommended chip for towing with 1kz, scared of the D4D after PP write ups .
