Liqui Moly Diesel Eng intake Decarb

Has any one tried this product.I purchased a can of today but need to know where the intake pipe from the intake manifold is,as you spray this into the manifold to clean the crap out of it.

Any help is appreciated thanks.

Spray it through the air box. This will clean up any oil residue in the intercooler.

Sprayed the gear in through the air intake.Watch the end of the hose that clips onto the sprayer if using this stuff,it comes of.Recived a Face full.Any way whilst spraying the engine Deffinately increased its rev range.Probbarbly because the stuff is highly flammable.I feel that spraying directly into the manifold would be more relevant.Will have to Waite for a much cooler day to try this.

You may get an error code if you bypass the intercooler and spray directly into the throttle body. The revs increase because the propellant is hydrocarbon gas.

Did an oil change today,One week after giving this stuff a spraying through the Intercooler.When I've emptied the old oil there was quite a bit of carbon deposit in the oil.Will be interesting to see if I get any better performance from the old girl now.
Also now using Nulon Diesel Oil instead of Valvoline.Mainly because of the Newlon being Aussie made.

Hello boys,
Sounds an easier way to de Coke but Was thinking of attempting an intake manifold and EGR clean out, I did see a link on PP with a bolt by bolt strip down for the 1kz engine but haven't found a comprehensive strip down sequence for the 1kd engine ,
Been right through the sight can't find anything,
Any info would be appreciated as always .

Put a can of this through on Saturday. 2003 120 1kz
Blew a bit of smoke to start with and then a bit when i took it for a drive.
Seems to have gained a bit more throttle response, feels that way anyways
Went for a run up the beach on sunday arvo and made it work a bit harder, blew a bit more smoke out.

Its overdue for a oil change so will do that this weekend and see how it looks.

Oh and i have the egr blocked but no catch can.

Removed 4 screws on the left side of the intercooler and shifting the inlet pipe just enough to get the spray nozzle into the intercooler. i just gave 1/4 can spray into the intercooler inlet and then sprayed the rest of the can into the throttle body. Undo 2 clamps connecting the intercooler and throttle body as well as 2 bolts holding the intercooler down. first bolt is behind and 2nd bolt is in front(left). shifted the intercooler out of the way enough to get a good look inside. Nice and clean inside since the previous owner put in an EGR blanking plate.
