The dealer was expecting to deliver the Prado back to me today. They took delivery of the new turbo yesterday and got it fitted for testing this morning. The good news is that the original problem is gone and it worked without any engine management issues . The bad news is that the new turbo is noisy and they weren't prepared to let it out of the workshop :roll:. They're now removing the turbo again to see why it's noisy.
Just as well I'm not planning on going away this weekend!

Well it took awhile .... two and a half weeks at the dealer, but I finally picked up the Prado today. The first replacement turbo was noisy, so another new one was sourced and fitted. Two turbos later, the problem is fixed
