Hi guys,
I just bought myself a Toyota Prado and unfortunately, almost immediately fell into troubles!
There is a strange whining sound coming from the front end of the vehicle, the last time something like this happened with my previous vehicle, my alternator gave way in a few weeks!
The only thing different this time is that my oil pressure light keeps flickering on and off while driving. (And that's what is really scaring me here).
I checked the oil in the motor and its on its full mark and is clean! (These may be 2 separate issues)
The whining sound tends to go to a higher pitch on acceleration and drops its pitch when the engine speed is lower or at idling. Could it be any of my pulleys? The sound does not go away when in 'park' or 'neutral'.
Other than that, the ride is smooth, not missing, and plenty of power!
Prado 120 Petrol v6 Automatic Trans.
202k on the clock.
Any help would be greatly appreciated guys!
Cheers
