    Jeremy
    Doesn't seem right
Mine has the Impco system too.
    The petrol gauge works fine.
It just shows the 90 litre light all the time now because the sub was removed.

Booked in next week to finish conversion to gas after they have located a tank for me  . Hopefully no more hipcups but I guess everyone is now snowed under with petrol hitting all time highs weekly so I will cut them a little bit of slack.

We ordered the conversion kit for our Falcon on 12/5 and on the 23rd the guy picked the car up and it was back to us on the 25th. Fantastic service really.

We're getting the Prado done with him next. Just waiting for some final bits of info and the rebate from the falcon to come back.

                  LPG Conversion

I have the 2003 V6 Prado with the plastic intake manifold. I am looking to get it converted to LPG. The mechanic has told me i am looking at about $4800 due to the plastic intake. (as opposed to $3600)

Can anyone tell me if it is just a case of replacing the plastic intake with an aliminuim one or is it a whole different gas sytem required.

I dont really know much about the conversion and cant seem to find much literature about converting this particular model.

I am living in Geraldton WA (400ks north of perth)

can anyone recommend a gas fitter either in Gero or down in perth.?

Problems accessing info on lpg conversion

Does anyone else have trouble looking at lc120 man photos of the conversion and accessing the vags web site. Possibly he could post the photos seperately.

                    Cheers

Having the gas tank installed in the next couple days and was wondering if the original rear tank guard was retained and if so was it modified to fit the gas tank.

                        Thanks

From what I've read, you get a stone guard designed for the tank. We're going to get a proper checker plate bash plate made up for ours when it goes in.

Use the original, looks better ie stock.
Yes they will modify it , but its quite easy without too much fuss .
NB , 69 litre usable tank sits 50mm lower.

Gas is now install and I am happy as Larry . They didn't put back the original cover so it looks like I got a job for the weekend. Sas it out last night and the tank at the moment is sitting about 45mm lower (90lt tank 72 usagable)so I am looking at between 50 -55mm lower with the original cover back on, so you are right on the money there Pradoking. As far as the conversion and performance, its still early days but I think there is a sight lost of power(nothing that is of concern) and the change over from petrol to gas is not noticeable. In regards to the petrol gauge, it is working as it should and it appears that the trip computer is effected. The distance to empty is now useless becuase it doesn't take in the gas tank which is to be expected. But the litres per 100kms seems to be working so all is not lost.

I had my 2004 GXL Petrol Prado converted to a LandiRenzo injection system with Flash Lube kit by TeamGreen Auto Gas in Apr08(cost $4200). They are located at Rocklea Brissy and the internet www.teamgreenautogas.com.au . I cannot complain one bit about the system or the staff at Team Green . It is virtually undetectable between Petrol and Gas. With a usable limit of around 65LT I am averaging 6l/100k(350-400Km). Tank sits 50mm lower than OEM but with a lift kit coming won't be a problem. Biggest problem is trying to find cheaper gas in Brissy as like with petrol/diesel LPG prices vary dramatically from one servo to another, just have to look at the Shell website search to see even their own franchises have huge differences. Motormouth also helps out for this. Very happy LPG user
