Clear Instrument Cover Removal

This sounds silly but tooth paste (white paste rather than the blue gel) also works polishing plastics (smells nice as well . It has a fine cutting compound in it.

True, it works well too, but its a bugger to clean off if you are a bit confined like on the instruments.

OK guys, now we know how to polish the outside, for those of us without the CD manual, can you tell us how the plastic is removed to get the dust out?
