Hi all,
club and I did a trip this weekend in the dunes. We were to cover 167kms as per GPS routing. Other vehicles on the trip were a Jeep Wrangler JK, Y61 Nissan patrol, Nissan Xterra and the lead car a G500 Mercedes wagon.
The xterra, G500 and wrangler were carrying 25 litre jerry can each, but the patrol did not. Long story short the rigs were running low on fuel, and the wrangler had to pull out after covering 80kms due to mechanical issues.
I was the only one having ample fuel and could have spared it to the patrol and xterra atleast to complete the intended route.
We tried to siphon fuel from the fuel filler, but the sub-tank, the one under the cargo area was close to empty and due to the bend in the filler tube the siphon hose would not reach.
Any ideas or experience on siphoning from the main tank of the Prado, the one that is under the middle of the chassis?
