I did some comparisons and what struck me the most was that the Kluger has the same wheel base and track as a Prado.
So if a family was after a largish four wheel drive, and was happy with a petrol engine, the Kluger will fill the need without going to a Prado for more offroad capability.
There's bound to be more interior space in a Kluger because it is a monocoque design.
Kluger vs Prado dimensions
length 4785mm vs 4850mm
width 1910mm vs 1875mm
height 1760mm vs 1995mm
Wheelbase 2790mm vs 2790mm
front track 1630 vs 1575mm
rear track 1640
ground clearance 206mm vs 205mm
interior width 1517mm vs ??
interior height 1245mm vs ??
wading depth ?? vs 700mm
approach angle ?? vs 32mm
departure angle ?? vs 27mm
