That's interesting, I always thought that the speedo fix was part of the Sept 2007 update. The D4D was introduced in Nov 2006, I wonder if Toyota changed the speedo at that update instead? Does anyone have a D4D that reads accurate speed with standard 265/65/17 tyres?

Will a 285/65/17 will fit on a standed rim with a 2" lift?

Wioth 275/65 17s my Dec 07 was still reading about 2 or 3 km/h low. That is according to a GPS which isn't 100% but before that it was 4 or 5. Interesting that the 150 with 275s is pretty much spot on between 1 and 2 low).My 150 build - http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread.php?27423-A-Random-approach-to-a-Bluestorm-150-GXL-D4D-automatic

After some research I discovered that prior to the Nov 2006 update, the V6 manual Prado had a combined claimed fuel economy of 13.8L/100km and the auto was 13.2L/100km. After Nov 2006, this improved to 13.6L/100km and 13.1L/100km respectively. After Nov 2006 the speedo spins faster, giving a false improvement in fuel economy"Sure it’s quiet, for a diesel, but that’s like being well-behaved… for a murderer."- Jeremy Clarkson
