  • Anyone heard of a CPU Shop Boost Speed device?

I saw this pop up on gumtree today when looking under Prado:

    http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/baysw...eel/1039073793

Sounds a bit suspect, curious to know if anyone has come across this device before and any thoughts or experiences with it?
It claims it removes the accelerator delay/lag but does not change any part of the normal CPU programming or engine function.

    Cheers
    Wardos.

      Yep,
As amts points out its like the Windbooster throttle piggy back system. If its any similar the Prado will go like a cut snake with having a faster/ aggressive acceleration but say goodbye to any fuel economy. Ive got a Sprint Booster (same thing) on mine but disconnected the throttle intercept plug as when its on/ activated my cruise control stopped working, fuel consumption went through the roof and I don't think the old girl would last too long/ go without complications being driven in that fashion.

I have one installed in my 120 and also my Hilux 150. Both worked great. Response was great especially if you do not want to upgrade to a chip and with 33" muddies.

Does the same job as a heavier pair of boots. Save your cash.
