ID:	653293added some electronic gadgets - a dual voltmeter so I don't have to keep unlocking the car and dragging out the multimeter to check the batteries and a dual 'high power' usb outlet so the missus stops cluttering the car up with cigarette lighter converters

Whered you get that usb charger from? Looks better than what I put in. Does it actually output 2.1A though?

          • haven't tested it but I got it from here:

            http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/321940829...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

there are better looking ones on ebay though, and it seems to come out with the cable when i pull it out which is a tad disappointing so it must need some tightening somewhere.

its the same place I got this gem:

What's it like? Did it include a wiring hardness or anything. If not what did you buy for that?

That's the one. I bought mine a while ago (paid $89 I think), I see they offer 32" and 42" versions now. 32" would have been perfect for my bulbar but 22" looks good too.

I didn't get the wiring harness, wired it myself to a simple relay and to a switch inside. You get 1m or so cable coming out of the casing which is long enough to reach a relay mounted under the bonnet.

I was surprised how well the bar was made, rated IP67 and looks like it'll be fine. Light output wise it's miles ahead of my old Hella Rallyes. The LEDs are only 3w LEDs so not the brighter 5W or 10W found on the really expensive bars. Does not bother me as if I do 5 or 10 country night drives per year - these are more than sufficient.

As I said, if I had my time again I'd spend the extra $20 or $30 and get the 32" one and that would be more than enough light I'd ever need.

The 22" supposedly rated for 7800 lumens so the 32" must be over 10,000. For what you pay can't go wrong I think.

                    • Changed the Suction Control Valve at 231,000k's. Was still working but had a small lag/boost feel at 1,900 rpm with a puff of smoke so thought might as well change it out.
Took bugger all time to do, to my surprise. Although i spent more time pulling all the bash plates off trying to find the damn washer that dropped off then actually changing it over.
Will wait and see how much of a difference to drive it makes.

                      • Fixing stuff

Fitted new AOB spotties switch to the switch cluster RHS of the steering wheel and fixed rattle on drivers door. Stripped inner door completely before finding out it was the "flare/body kit" on the exterior of the door but fixed it finally. Trying to work out how to post pics from my phone.

                        • I put a set of new King springs HHD's throughout the other week before I headed over to Fraser Island as the last set of King's were installed prior to my two Cape Trips and all the accessories I've fitted since, to say it had dropped was an understatement. The only problem I have now is that the front has lifted significantly enough to smash my cb aerial from constantly hitting the bulkhead of the garage. I managed to grab a GME AE4704B21 for about $120 off ebay, it only sits about 580mm high so it will be perfect, hopefully its the last aerial I have to fit, third time lucky right...

                          Cheers,

                          Mike.

                          • Finally got washers put in my lower tailgate hinge to fix the sag, plus cut off the bash plate that goes under the engine. Gotta drill out the bolts to make room for the bushskinz plates now that I have time. Massive thanks to Adrian for helping me with it
