How did it connect up? Does it go into the same plug as the left side switches?

I don't think us pre 2007 upgrade owners would be able to do this mod

It just plugs into the left control as in the photo. The photo is from a us website but it fits the same. As long as you have the left control I can't see a problem with fitting the phone control. I have a aftermarket stereo that Bluetooths the phone and the stereo has the ability to learn the steeringwheel controls.

No idea! Passed me heading south at Clontarf this arvo. Posted on some of the FB group pages also but no info yet as I'd like to know more. The Prado is def an import and probably bought in like this. It still has one of those poxy mirrors on the very front left corner. The flares, lift and tyres certainly lit my eyes up!

Got an alignment and wheel rotation today, as well as finding out how much I have been missing out on now that we switched over to the "premium" 95 and 98 fuels.

Ran through the final few jobs in preparation for the Simpson trip:

Power for the kids tablets:


Insulation for the rear cargo area - expensive this. 2x$9.99 shades from Supercheap, some insulation tape, a bunnings grommet repair kit and some suction caps from the local two dollar shops. To template the side windows I just opened the windows, dropped a role of craft paper through, closed the window and traced the outline.


Water tank and rear seat organisation for the kids ($12 from ebay):

got a set of new BFG's KO2's fitted and fitted the rear airbags from Firestone
just need to sort the tyres on the caravan

and fitted the new globes in the headlights
was impressed how 1 blew then a week later the other blew (grrrrw) lucky i ordered 2 sets when they were listed cheap
now to get them re-adjusted so we don't blind other with the van on

Finally fitted the Fuel Master secondary fuel filter with 2 micron filter. Looks and works a treat. Changed the OEM fuel filter at the same time and the filter element looked rather darkish inside, so likely to have been timely. Will get underneath and change the small fuel filter between the two tanks later today.

Thursday. picked up a very nice '05 GRJ120 VX auto from John Huges in Vic Park

Yesterday. Fitted new front and rear brake rotors and pads with RDA slotted and dimpled fronts, stock rears and RDA extreme pads all round, inspected underbody greasing all points which hadn't seen a grease gun in a long time

Today. Fitted the UHF and suffered the shock of paying for 170L of 95ULP
