The 2 micron filter is AFTER the factory one. In theory, should there be a detection of water, the factory unit should alert me, whilst the new secondary unit will catch anything that gets past the factory one. I guess the way to catch it is to also do a regular inspection of the water bowl on the Fuel Master and to also drain the factory one every so often as well.
I have noticed slightly better pedal response since changing the filter, so I would say that it was definitely time to get rid of it.
