I cut the hole myself. Measured 3 times. Thin cutting disc on angle grinder. After fitting, I had it trimmed and painted at a panel shop in Kal. Mine is not a factory Hilux scoop - only a copy. If I was to do it again I would go for the original thing as mine is a bit thin but the whole job has survived nearly 70K of dirt roading so far.

There's also detailed write up somewhere in the bonnet scoop thread with more pics.

Absolute bargain I think, looks great and gets cold air straight onto the intercooler. I don't have a EGT gauge as yet but have read It does drop the temps down. I have 3 x spotties mounted up the front that block the original airflow up to the intercooler (that's what I told the boss and she believed me) + it looks great.
hey mate, do you mind telling me who did it? wouldn't mind getting one done myself.

        Cheers Joel

I remember that from our trip to LCMP with Samuel. Funny as
We should do another boys weekend up there.

Doing the water re-supply run and, having filled up a pile of jerries and put them into the rear, I had to move the car to allow another customer in. Well, Murphy's law stepped in. Hadn't yet secured the jerries and when I drove forward, a 15 litre container toppled and poked a hole in the door. Damage report from this latest trip: 2 staked tyres (one plugged successfully), 3 stone chips/cracks in windshield, cracked guard, cracked door, bent mud guard on camper trailer, numerous scratches, one pair of ugg boots (cheapies shouldn't be used for stoking the camp fire), 4000km, 5 x 30 can blocks beer, 30 cans of bundy, 2 bottles Bundy, 2 bottles of port, 10 pairs of socks (spinifex prickles). Oh, did I mention 10 oz of gold as compensation?
