  • Raining today so the diff oil change didn't get done. Took wife shopping and we cashed in our loose change - all $680 worth. So I bought a new stereo/DVD head unit and spent the afternoon up to my neck in wiring.

    • Stereo in. Radio reception is crap. Volume up on steering wheel not working but all other controls are. And 6 years of slimy red dirt in the aircon vents - yuk.

      • While changing wheels about I noticed that my front brake pads were quite well worn so fitted up a new set of Bendix blue strip pads. Another thing to tick as being ready for the 2015 GTG.

          • Pulled the rear diff out and started the Lokka installation. I have to say that the supplied instructions are a little difficult to comprehend. Stay tuned.

Looks like a bit of a task you got yourself there.
                Good luck.

No, SWMBO would never allow that. The table is covered in the trims, vents and other bits from the stereo installation that is yet to be finished.

                      • And she wasn't too happy when she got into her Getz today after I borrowed it. Absolutely reeks of diff oil. Hmmm, wonder why that is.

                        • Finished the stereo instal by tidying up the wires, cleaning the muck out of the air con vents and tubes. Now, if the rain would go away I might get the rear diff back in. Hang on a minute. Nope, pissing down again.

                            • Funny thing about the work is that you can really see where Anthony's been => it's clean wherever he's worked.
Slightly dirty/dusty engine, then a clean maf sensor. Dirty bit, then the area where a certain pipe was worked on.
Quite a nice job, thanks Anthony.
