Today she was drained of her 'green' coolant... cooling system completely cleaned and flushed out... new hose clamps and the correct pink coolant used.

What I did to my 120 was wire in some VE commodore horns. Sounds a bit meaner than the factory meep meeps. Next up, wiring in my auxiliary air horn

Thanks Bill. This Prado has been a long time coming and funnily enough is the nicest driving and best performing example of a GRJ120 that I've ever driven. To be honest I did want a KDJ but most are ex-miners and unless you've worked on the site where it came from and buy it via "Work" they're best avoided even though most are supervisors rides and don't see the pit very often. The other clincher was it was the cleanest and best priced one in Perth, even got it from a dealer! The other one was having all 3 original keys which none of the others seemed to have.Originally posted by BiLLz0r View PostWelcome to PP Simon. You'll find much more technical stuff here than the FB page so it should satisfy your mechanicical skills and hopefully you can share some of your wealth of knowledge with us all.
Now to keep to topic while nothing was done per-se on "Playdough" today a bit of a cruise was had in the new ride and a decision got made.
While I purchased it for the wife..... Well I like it too much so am going to sell the V8 surf and get a Rav4 for her then keep it for myself
Anyone want to buy a1UZ powered factory widebody 2 door Surf with only 145 genuine kms on it?

Thursday. picked up a very nice '05 GRJ120 VX auto from John Huges in Vic Park
Yesterday. Fitted new front and rear brake rotors and pads with RDA slotted and dimpled fronts, stock rears and RDA extreme pads all round, inspected underbody greasing all points which hadn't seen a grease gun in a long time
Today. Fitted the UHF and suffered the shock of paying for 170L of 95ULP
