  • Cold start problems

my 3400 petrol has developed a small problem, when cold it runs rough, pops, and want to stall if I don't keep the revs up. Once warmed up, no problems. Anybody know how to fix this?

Try asking in the 90 series petrol.
Sounds like the ECU isn't reading correctly and not idling up as required.

      Check mass airflow meter.
      Check temperature sensor.
      Check plugs.
Check ignition leads if left out in the open.

      Cheers

The IAC valve can get stuck on these as well , off memory i think they are a rotary one(may be wrong) they are prone to getting covered in muck and sticking so the engine wont idle up when cold

Well I fixed it, not sure how but it starts like a champ. I took the intake hoses off and disconnected all the associated electrical plugs, the T/B Butterfly was pretty clean but I doused it with Carb cleaner and put it all back together and Voila!
