  • Buzzing sound from left of dash

Hi I hope someone out there has experienced this as the noise is irritating my wife and in turn me

We have a 2005 v6 120 auto and under any load be it light or heavy there's a buzz from what appears to be
around the left side of the dash.

I have searched this forum and have only come up with the TC lever but I've held onto this and its not that Im certain.
I have also found if you stall up the trans the noise comes in at about 1200rpm
( I have only blipped the throttle so as not to over heat the trans fluid) so with this instruction given to my wife I've searched under the left of the dash, the firewall engine side and under the car (wheels chocked and park brake on also) and cannot locate any thing loose
my next step is to start removing pieces of dash and testing in between.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers Darren

Welcome aboard Darren. Have you eliminated the charcoal canister on the left side under the bonnet. Have heard of them making a similar noise. Door speaker is another thing you could check... It all comes down to the process of elimination I guess..happy hunting and keep us informed on how go ... Good luck

Also aircon is under dash on left side, does it do it with the aircon and heater turned off?

            Awesome forum
Thank you all for your replies today I removed the centre consol and noticed the gear selector wasn't plugged in.
At this point I had a eureka moment thinking that maybe someone has had the dash out for what ever reason
So creating the noise again it dawned on me that its definatly metallic, tubular almost (bare with me )
rechecked the firewall engine side (how I missed this I don't know) some one has replaced the heater matrix and used new hose clips leaving the old ones on the matrix tubes.
Only had it a week and am otherwise very impressed as I am also with 95 I've bought for me
