If you were to purchase a normal model, then spent the difference on upgrading engine, suspension and interior, wouldn't you have a better vehicle ? A $10-15K fit out will buy and make a very nice setup.
Possibly, but come resale time, I know which one would offer the higher price. Mods mean very little at trade in time.
