If the roof rack has removable feet you can probably reuse it, I managed with my Jarram rack. As for the 90 vs the 120 I only changed my 90 after the D4D was released because I felt the 120 with the same driveline as the 90 wasn't as nice to drive.

My 150 build - http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread.php?27423-A-Random-approach-to-a-Bluestorm-150-GXL-D4D-automatic

Unfortunately non removable feet - sits straight into gutters.
Maybe mine was just feeling tired in comparison - 120 felt alot tighter/quieter. Had mine for 12 years so time for a change
Cheers, Dave

Mine's an 05 and the door is knackered. AFAIK all 120's suffer from the same issue if the door is left to open on it's own on a slope. It was rectified on the 150 with a 'gas strut' type dampener.Originally posted by Steve M View PostThe rear door issue was rectified in late 04 when the upgrade was done. This is when the five speed auto come out in the V6.2005 GXL KZJ120 3.0TD. The earlier ones were cracking under there own weight. If any door is left to just fling open chances are it will damage it's surround. If you check out an 03/early 04 compared to late 04 upwards you can see the difference on the actual door. A gas strut would definately stop the problem altogether. Wound be a bad mod on the 120. ..... Cheers SteveFace lift 150 Prado V6 auto. No mods yet

Bought a 2003 120 diesel today!
240,000km and all looks to be reasonably good. Rear door opens and shuts beautifully! Bit of a crack on the front of the dash pad but not major.
Pretty stock except for sovereign bull bar and better stereo/rear DVD screen which suits me fine.
Thanks again for the tips guys!
I'm sure I'll be asking more questions as i start to work on it over time
Cheers, Dave

At those kms difference in fuel cost will be about$15-$18 per week if you go the petrol route. Say about $1000 pa. BUT the petrol version could be $3-4 k cheaper so you are in front for at least 3-4 years before you add in the cost of higher diesel services and 10-15 c extra fuel cost and new injectors and seals! Horses for courses - a lot of towing the diesel is a no brainer......little or no towing, do the sums. I have has my 06. petrol auto for 6 years and I reckon I am still in front compared to the similar spec diesel that I would have had to pay $5-6 k more for at the time and which would now be well overdue for injectors and seals if it hadn't died the D4d death.

Big issue now!The Sovereign bullbar (as far as I have read) should be winch compatible, the issue will be finding the mounting plate....
Getting harderThey appear hard to find.
Not any more..get in quick! You can still buy the winch cradle new from toyota,
09/07/14The winch cradle was only purchased a few weeks ago, and I believe Toyota Australia are now out of stock, with no more to be produced. This allows a winch to be used with the Genuine alloy bar.
Edit: New Stock now, so above not applicable now!?[SIZE=1]03 TD 120 Grande, L&R weathershields, f&r deflectors, Sov bar Amts rad b.pl, TJM front B.P, Uniden UH7760NB Kaymar LED worklight, ARB 47l, lifestyle rack & Milford C.
