Serious answer, I'd be considering a Arctic Truck kit to run bigger tyres over a body lift which is illegal since you have air bags.
4wd action did an article with a Arctic Truck 200 series a while ago here in Australia, looked awesome but a big commitment.

Are you sure it was an Artic truck? They don't sell kits, you have to send them your vehicle. Your talking tens of thousands of dollars for their conversion and chances are it won't pass engineering here in Oz. it's been discussed many times over the years here.

      Cheers Andrew

There is a build on the Lcool forum, and a bit of info on the 4wd action forum.
The conversion was sent here from Iceland, and the install all done here.

Okay, did more research and the parts came from fjallasport in Iceland which will ship to Australia, and are located down the road from arctic truck! Seems arctic truck use the flares from fjallasport, and the wheels came from arctic truck but sent by fjallasport.

Hats off to this guy for cutting up his 200

I thought that would be the one you were talking about. A 35" conversion on a Prado is a lot more than just adding flares, they also relocate the font diff and drive shafts. Once again your talking mega dollars and its questionable as to whether it would pass engineering, assuming you could get all the parts.

          Cheers Andrew

While not a grande, I've just put 33"s on my rig and I went with different offset wheels, new UCA's and had rubbing on the front mudflaps, have taken the mudflaps off and noticed the rubbing has almost dissapeared - but there is some on the extended part of front body mounts. I also have a 2" OME lift. I had found that I needed just a little bit extra clearance on some of the tracks I have been doing and on my rig the speedo is only a little out (doing 113 when speedo reads 110).

Ok I'm going to just put it out there . The grande is a whole different animal than the GXL . I'm not sure whether it has a different wiring harness or not , but sure as shit it has a lot more things that can be f%*ked up than a standard prado if the wiring harness doesn't work or stretch that extra 2 inches . For instance if the wiring harness can't be stretched , you will have problems with , the electronic suspension , the centre diff lock switch , which is linked to the VSC , the DAC switch and your height control switches . Then you have the refrigeration issues with your front and rear climate control / center console fridge . The grande has a totally different brake master cylinder set up than a standard prado . It has VSC and traction control . The VSC probably uses yaw sensors which may or may not be affected by the difference in the change of the centre of gravity of the vehicle . I'll get back to you with more tomorrow , when I sober up and can think straight. I'm hoping that this information can help you . I'm not dissing you or trying to piss you off . You can look at Glenep. Outfit with his 90 series and see what he has done . Unfortunately , if you read through the info that is available on this site you will find that while the grande is an absolutely. Sensational vehicle to own. And drive . It doesn't lend itself to being modified easily or to any great benefit .cheers stuart
03 grande v6 , with added stuff that makes it go places . RTFM people !
