  • 120 Series Middle East Spec A/C Compressor

    Hi All,

First time poster here, so apologies if I'm posting in the wrong location, etc. I have a 2006 Prado with 4.0L 1GR engine and dual A/C control. I'm wondering if anyone knows about the A/C compressors in these Prados? I can't get to the compressor easily to be able to read the numbers. There are apparently different p/n's in different areas of the world, the same engine in the US uses a compressor with p/n 88310-35830-84, but they say it could have different brackets or connectors than the ME spec compressors. Can anyone shed any light on this subject? I expect Toyota would use the same compressors and brackets/connectors everywhere in the world for the same engine and just change part numbers, but don't really know. Thanks in advance...

Have you looked through this website? You can select the different markets and check the part numbers.

      Hi Amts,

I had looked and tried keyword searches, but came up with nothing. Thanks a lot for this pointer... I'll continue my search!

Are you trying to do keyword searches on PradoPoint? What I was trying to say was to search through the Japan parts website. At the start, you can select your vehicle based on location : US, Europe, Japan, Other. Then drill down to the compressor area and look for part number differences between the different locales.

You'll probably find the old number is obsolete now toyota do that, probably been changed ever so slightly like adding a thermal switch
I have a V6 petrol AC comp on my 1KZ 90 prado ... Just changed the belt pulley
