I think it depends on the month/year of your model. I was told that I needed SC00W3EB which is dated August 2008 to take into account the minor vehicle update done at that time.

SC - it's just html so should work. Might not fire up automatically though but having said that I've found it doesn't like the password thingo I'm supposed to enter so I've put a shortcut direct to index.html.

Says it requires >IE5.5 & Acrobat. Won't work on Firefox. Don't know if it'll run on Safari but as it's html I would have thought so.

I think you'll find it's running ActiveX controls which is a Microsoft design for controls. This is not part of the HTML standards but some Browsers will support these.

A question for those with the workshop CD. Does it have the fault codes listed? I.E. Codes that can be read by an OBDII scanner???

Need help please.

I have today picked up my new cd part number SCW00W2EA and it appears that it does not cover my 4/08 model .
Can someone clarify this for me as it will be going straight back tomorrow if this is the case.

What information are you after that is not on the CD? I'm pretty sure everything is on there....

There is NO mention of the following that I can find-
Radio controls on the steering wheel, CD players listed are all different, NO Blue tooth,mag wheels listed look different,I tried to look up the 6 speed manual gearbox and i was unable to find it,nothing on the climate control A/C and finally the date printed on the CD cover is JUL 07. I hope that I am just having a man look BUT I think I have the previous models CD. Any further help would be appreciated even if I could talk to someone over the phone to double check before i take it back.

Bluetooth is part of the CD player, What information on CD players sould there be in a workshop manual? wiring diagrams are in the electrical section.
Same with mag wheels... what information on mag wheels are you expecting in a workshop manual?

Look under RA61 manual trans

nothing on the climate control A/C

Look in the electrical, general repair and the suppliement sections

date printed on the CD cover is JUL 07

Thats correct... there have been no significant changes to the Prado since then. The CD doesn't cover models, it covers systems... ie .. engines, transmissions, electrical, body etc...

Interesting we all seem to be getting differing part numbers.

Mine has Aug 2008 on the packet & on the cd & the part number progression would logically be SCW00W2EA, SCW00W3EA & the one I have SCW00W3EB.

It could just depend on which month/year production your Prado is.

Hi all,

I managed to get myself a copy of the repair manual; SC00W3EB from a toyota dealer in Sydney after trying many. The problem is I can not open it as it ask's to input the input id number which I dont have. The guy who sold it to me said it may ask for a number and if so bring it back and he will give back my money. However I would prefer the number and it seems that he is unable to this.

So punters how do I get this thing unlocked? Where can I get the input number from or what is it?

It's on the cover of the CD (assuming you bought an orignal and not a burnt copy)

From memory there is a way around it. I think you can explore the CD and open the program/Explorer file directly (ie bypass the Auto Run)

Yeah open the contents folder on the cd and open the index.html file with IE

Thanks for the tips guys.

My lappy runs firefox but the desk top uses IE so I had to wait until I was home to try it again. Tried accessing the files using the html files and it works.

Just purchased a 2006 V6 Petrol Prado. Can anyone tell me how I obtain a workshop manual (CD) for this vehicle. Always do my own servicings etc, Would love to start changing items/servicing items as soon as I can. thanks
