hi all I have a 2004 120 v6 manual and want to fit a roof rack I am going to get a rhino pioneer platform and was interested as to what fuel consumption gains people have experienced by fitting a roof rack TIA

Don't worry about the increase because now you can carry a couple of extra jerries on your new roof-rack to feed that thirsty V6.Dave

thanks amts I had a steel rack on my 80 series and it was a big increase about 3l/100km that's why in going alloy this time. come on bushbasher there not that bad it just depends how hard I drive it lolComment

Didn't really notice much change in fuel consumption, but did notice the increased noise. I guess in a diesel you probably wouldn't hear it

The Pioneer Platform is low profile which is the best thing about it. Was your steel rack more like a cage? 3L/100km increase is a bit high. Did you do a lift or bigger tyres at the same time?Originally posted by Mat120v6 View PostComment
