Good question as I rekon my Prado was fine stock to start with. Most of the places I go now with all the gear on it I went when it was stock and had no problems. If I only had 2k I'd go with

    1. Max trax
    2. Recovery Points by AMTS
    3. Recovery bag with snatch straps, shackles, receiver
    4. MSA Tool holder roll - (With your tools in it)
    5. Compressor

    The Nice to haves
    1. Dual Batteries
    2. Lift Kit
    3. Bash Plates
    4. Snorkel
    5. UHF

At this stage, it will be the first tow of the new Jayco Swan. Planning on a "trial-and-error" trip with the missus down the South Coast of NSW for a week or so in the first week of January 2016. Staying on the black top this time.

Looking at Uluru in April 2016, potentially with 3 of the 6 kids.

I do have a 120Ah Redback Thumper battery pack already...sits in the garage on a Smart Charger, ready to go when needed. It will be going in the Jayco Swan once that is delivered in November sometime.

Judging by suggestions so far, the Dual Battery system will be first upgrade... right after the new Hilux windscreen washer nozzles go in on Wednesday...LOL. Looking at a Narva Projecta 150A Dual Battery controller with a Century Deep Cycle N70T 100Ah.
