I'm thinking it'll be easier and cheaper to buy a scanguage and check fuel that way + gain about 10000 other options.

Yes, a simple thing to do. This ensures accuracy.Originally posted by amts View PostUsually mounted above the steering column.
I don't own one as I don't have an OBDII port, but hopefully someone who does will confirm whether you need to reset the scan gauge everytime you fill up.[B][SIZE=4]ntp

You input amount of fuel used. Based on a full tank of 180L, it then determines range based on fuel usage.Originally posted by amts View PostDoes it automatically sense the fuel level? Or you tell it when it is full and it deducts the fuel amount based on fuel usage volume?[B][SIZE=4]ntp

Ah. The misses won't like doing that. Back to square 1.Originally posted by amts View PostRead the manual. Looks like every fill up requires an input to the Scangauge. Same as for the Torque Pro app.2007 GXL V6 - ARB Bullbar with LED lights, snorkel, extractors, 2 1/4" dual exhaust, K&N filter, dimpled/slotted rotors, headrest dvd players, Ebay Satnav/reverse camera, GME 3100TX, Tigerz11 Side awning on custom brackets with Maxtrax mounts, 300W Invertor, ARB Underbody protection, Lightbar and STZ 265/70 tyres.

This whole inaccurate fuel reading is bugging me at the moment as well. I know that once I hit 1,500km on the trip meter it's time to find fuel - I don't have a problem with that, but when the fuel level light comes on and then off and then on again over the course of 60km and then after it has stayed on for a while after having driven another 60km, I fill it and get only 164L into it... I would like to concentrate more on what's in front of me than whether my fuel gauge is telling the right thing or not.Stan Miko

Good to see mine isn't the only 1 that does it.Originally posted by fortom View PostYes same here with my 4.0 . gets below half tank and goes all over the place. Gets between 1/2 and 1/4 and the needle drops to the bottom and the light comes on. Park it for a while and then it is back to normal. I just fill it up between 1/2 and 3/42007 GXL V6 - ARB Bullbar with LED lights, snorkel, extractors, 2 1/4" dual exhaust, K&N filter, dimpled/slotted rotors, headrest dvd players, Ebay Satnav/reverse camera, GME 3100TX, Tigerz11 Side awning on custom brackets with Maxtrax mounts, 300W Invertor, ARB Underbody protection, Lightbar and STZ 265/70 tyres.

Thought mine was the only one, but my 4L seems to have the same issue as you guys. Once i get below half on the second tank it varies all over the place, get in to drive its below a quarter, the next drive its back above a quarter tank. Seems to sort itself out once it gets right down near empty, doesn't vary at all really then and the then I normally fill up when the light comes on, takes about 155L to 160L when the light come on.Originally posted by BiLLz0r View PostGood to see mine isn't the only 1 that does it.
