  • ARB Bullbar or Genuine

    Hi Guys,
My first Post on the Forum, please forgive me if this has been discussed before. I had slight prang in my 120 series, I currently have a genuine Toyota Alloy Bull bar which is now up for replacement. I have an opportunity to replace it with an ARB Bullbar if I want, however I'm a little torn as whether I should stick to a genuine Bull bar for replacement or an ARB Bull bar, has anyone done this before and regretted it, liked it or loved it? any pros and cons you can share?

    Cheers Juz

Pro's: Everything. They look awesome, they take a beating.
Con's: They weight more so a bit mire weight on the front suspension and slightly high fuel usage I guess.
If it's at no cost then do it!!!!!

They do look good but not that strong. A bullbar is for a function.

We've had multiple hits (When living in the Pilbara)with the ARB bar and it still looks good I would get the ARB bar again no questions about it.

I can't decide between MCC, Ironman, TJM and ARB.

It did sound a bit odd,
Ill say that I like the look of them but I'd full in the gap on the sides where the blinkers would go, saying that I've a Toyota brand but originally had a TJM that I liked more.

                        Hi Juz.

The Toyota roo bars are crap.

I park next to my colleagues Landcruiser with his genuine Toyota bar each morning and compared to my ECB bar, his is like a licorice allsort.

He is so jealous and wishes he had one like mine.

Just be careful about where you want any front sensors or cameras placed (see my post on this in general discussions).

The ECB bars are stronger, comparatively light and look fabulous. They are supposed to be 6mm aluminium but who can substantiate this?

I had a whinch compatible bar fitted for $2600.

                        See pics below.

The older you truck gets I'm guessing the more you will be happy to go off road and in the rough and the more a real steel bar like ARB will be what you need (want?) Get a real steel one!
