Hi Guys and Girls,
The Part Number for the CD Service Manual is SC00W1EA (0=Zero) price $70.40 I will review the manual when I get my new GXL and let everyone know current applicability.

The CD is in HTML and PDF format when first loading the CD after inputting the S/N ensure that you allow "Pop Ups" in WIN Explorer 5.5 and above or the CD will not open.

I have briefly checked out the Service Manual CD and although the Front cover is dated Sep 2002 all the 06 on upgrade supplements are there YIPPEEE :!: :!: :!:

I tried it today and did my money. I was after the colour of the wire from the auto transmission oil temperature sensor to the engine computer. The info on the euro site indicated the required wire was B-Y.

A few checks quickly revealed that this was not the case. Is the KDJ120 (D4D) different in Europe? Does it use a different auto transmission?

Can anyone with an Australia service manual tell me the colour of the wire, please?

Go and get yourself a CD service manual It appears to be a good softcopy/interactive manual I have found some great features but will not comment to its accuracy until my vehicle arrives.

Hi Team Piggy,

When I was searching for specific information on the Euro Toyota site, I was having no end of trouble with my 10 year-old printer and difficulty with quickly finding what I wanted. A case of information overload and with the clock ticking fast.

Anyhow this morning I had a more careful look at the little bit of info I had printed out. I found that for the 1KD-FTV vehicle there were two sets of circuits - one entitled EWD595E and EWD527E - both very different to each other.

From information that a PradoPoint member has kindly sent me, the Australian variant appears to be similar to EWD595E. I have yet to confirm this though.

Notwithstanding, I think it is premature to remove the euro website details from this forum. I feel that a lot of the info is probably relevant to Australia. Therefore could you please re-instate this URL until we all have had more time (and money) to explore it.

Hi Glen,
The Tojo CD is also written like that but it has updates for the new KDJ120 which is Euro but it has *1 (subtext) for Australia vehicle differences, I have read the manual for a number of hours and the depth of information surpasses any other Automotive manuals I have read but it takes practice to extract the right bit of info as there a many refences for the same bit of kit.

Now Glen a bit of bad news I believe your transmission is an A750F but when I check the most up to date wiring schematic it shows B-Y to AT6 (Temp Sensor) to ECM but I have not finished checking yet.

You really need to know what you are up to as there would be schematic updateds issued regularly which we the multitudes would not be privvy.

Something I learn't which I think is important for all our Mud burrowing mates is that the Update D4D is fitted with a Return fuel (spill fuel) fin type air cooled fuel cooler mounted to the body in way of L/H front chassis cross member.

It might pay to check that it is not caked in mud after a bit of serious mud work particulary in our warmer climes.

Anyone in WA know where I can purchase a workshop manual CD. I tried to purchase a workshop manual CD from one dealer and was told by it was not available as you required a software key only available to dealers.

Also has the August 07 updates been added to the CD?

Hi Johnk

Each CD has its own individual serial number key printed on the disc cover, which must be used the first time you install it on your computer so your dealer is feeding you a load of bull :shock:

I purchased one last week from Newtown Toyota in Welshpool. It had to come from over east and I had to pay up front before they would order it ($70).
If you get one make sure you check that the serial number is inside the CD before leaving. Mine was not inside, but luckily the guy I rang to ask about it knew what was going on and was able to give me the serial number over the phone.

Hi guys

When I went to Motorama (Beaudesert Rd Moorooka) for a workshop manual I was told they were not allowed to sell it to me. They gave me a part number SC00W2EB but said their was a "sales stop s" on it which means I can't have it. No mention of price. I was given a help line number 1800252097 to call.

I'll try again now using your part number and at a different dealer to see what response I get.
