    PM sent mate.

Iron-Paww, the AC is awesome 99% of the time, it was just this once that it seemed to drop off it's game a bit.
In it's defence, it was working extremely hard in some tough conditions, but other than that, it's very impressive.

    Cheers,

      Re: A/C Outlet Temp ?

All I can say without measuring with a thermometer is that both the rear and from A/C vents are freezing. So I guess that they are working properly.
With the newer version of automatic climate control, I wonder who has tried to get 3 separate temperature readings,
      Front Driver - cold
      Front Pax - Warm and
      Rear - in between.
SSSHHHH be very very quiet were huntin wabbits.

        Re: A/C Outlet Temp ?

        Hi Guys
I said I would give you an update here goes, The dealer has had the prado since last thursday, and they loaned me a corolla,( my request ).
They did various checks again, paying attention to the heater vavle, but that was all ok, They tried the system with different amounts of gas in still not cold enough !!
They replaced the A/C pump, and checked probes/sensors that shut the pump on and off the clutch.
They consulted Toyota for more information, they too were scratching their heads on this problem.....
Got a phone call this arvo to say the car is ready and will be delivered tonight at 6. They have changed the evaporator now under the dash, so not quite sure what sort of a job thats been but the service manager says its holding up at between 5/6 degs now cosidering it was 12deg min thats got to feel colder !!
So will take for a test tonight, but tomorrow is forecast for a 40deg + day, So will put to the test .
Many thanks for all your helpful answers guys

        Keith

Here's the link to my old fix, for the benefit of anyone coming across this thread in the future.
May be a bit dated with the newer models, maybe not!

              Re: A/C Outlet Temp ?

              Hi all,

It has been my experience that it is the amount of air being circulated more than the temperature of it that matters.
If the air is at 10 degree and your moving enough of it then it will be dam cold in the car! Is the aircon blowing plenty of
air, have you checked to see if the filters clean?

Also, the engine management system controls the aircon these days. If the motor gets hot then the engine managment system
will shut down the aircon till the water temperature decreases. Could explain why some have said that the air doesn't work
to well when climbing steep hills?

              Cheers
