    Crusie Control

    Tried the search function and couldn't find anything so am throwing the question out there for some answers. When I trun the cruise control on I get the green indication "Crusie" but nothing to say that it is turned on. Other vehicles I have driven have the cruise sign come up and then when you activate the crusie either an "on" or "set" sign comes up.
    Does the Prado have any indication?

    Does the Prado have any indication?
    No...... only the "Cruise" light you already mentioned.

      Mine when I resume, gives a very quick "pulse" on the throttle to show it has been engaged.

      Cruise light is the only thing to show.

        +1, thats all you get, lets be glad we even have a light these days. I remember on my Dad's old Mercedes, no lights or any other indication that Cruise has been engaged. On my Mazda though, the color turns from Orange (which indicates on) to green (engaged), which is much better.

          Can't say I've noticed anything when I set the Cruise apart from the green "cruise" light. Will have to take more notice for the throttle blip.

              Why would you need a light? Doesn't the fact that you are cruising along without your foot on the accelerator give you enough hint that cruise control is engaged?

                For me, I set it going and wonder "did that work or didn't it?" You have to wait a few moments to see if the vehicle is holding the speed you set. Now... if a little light came on that told you "I got it" then there'd be no questions.

                  Fully agree with you Iron-Paww, a light or signal to indicate that the cruise has activated would be just reassuring.
