Water on floor of vehicle after rainfall

I'd just run the hose around the mounts first before pulling it all apart to see if they are the culprit, or if its coming from elsewhere.

When we had a 3 Rhino Sportz roof racks fitted when we bought a used 120 about 5 years ago the Toyota dealer fitted them as part of the deal ,
It rained pretty heavy in the first week of us owning it and we noticed the front seat belts felt cold , and on inspection we discovered they were wet , and the carpet on the floor directly below the seat belts was also wet ,
I took off the clip-on frame lining and it was very wet ,i left linings off and went back to dealer and they removed all racks with the special "T" spanner , which exposes the roof mounting screws , cleaned roof channels and found the front rack mounting screws didn't have correct plugs(a couple of green ones) so correct ones got fitted ,
when I got car home I removed the racks and put some Sikaflex roof and gutter over the screw holes and plugs then replaced the racks , and left the linings off the inside for a week and dried the carpet out with a heat gun , next time it rained I checked no more leaks and none in the last 5 years , cheers john

Racks or the windscreen as mentioned above seem like the obvious answer. I'd pull back the carpet and then run the hose around the windscreen and also roof rack mounts to try and nail down where the water is coming from. Did you notice if any of the seat belts were wet too, as the mounts are normally above the seat belts, which get wet first before trickling down.

Check the drains around the aircon inlets, Water may be coming in thu the aircon intake vents.

When I fitted our ARB Roof Cage, we had wet seat belts in the front. It turned out that the roof rail bolts need silicone in their locators, to seal up the gaps, and prevent water coming into the cabin. I would bet this is your issue, given I saw another post about you fitting roof rails recently.

Hello, just returning from an extended trip away. Yes, the vehicle has original Toyota Roof rails. It also has a Rhino Rack platform attached to the roof rails. As far as I can tell, no aftermarket wiring. Still attempting to figure this out. I would like to remove the roof rails(the videos on PP are not working) so if anyone can assist me with instructions on how to do that(without breaking them) I would appreciate it. Also, I will try both blowing and vacuuming the drainage holes. Thanks.

Any aftermarket wiring been put through the grommets on the firewall? UHF etc. Might need to grab a light & awkwardly lay under the dash with car closed up & get someone to hose it down all over....starting from the lowest point & working their way up.

hi my Grande had a similar issue there are drains running down the A pillar's and the B pillars I think I cleared them with compressed air blower inserted in a straw seems to have solved the problem
