Had mine 6 months and put it in for its first service since owning it with 85k on the clock. New water pump and engine mounts....3 year extended factory warranty already paid for itself.

Apart from that, I seem to only have to fix things every time I put it into a shop to get something new added

Bought mine with 40k now 110k ( bit over 2 years), replaced water pump, rebuilt transfer case after getting stuck in low range, stripped gearbox filler plug. Other than that just keep adding stuff. Plenty of bent stuff underneath but we can put that down to normal offroading.
      Love it!
      Cheers

          2008 Prado 6 speed manual D4D standard.
          170000

replaced tensioner on A/C bracket. bearing problem i think.
Starter Motor iffy. Toyota said the resistance was high at battery terminals and that would fix starting issue but knew it was starter motor all along.
          suspension bushes etc.
everything else has been mods i have fitted.

Had the control box for the winch fall off on a Cape York trip. Poor installation - no locknuts or Loctite fitted, allowed the mounting bolts to fall out.
Had one rear OME shock absorber leaking oil - replaced under ARB warranty.
Throttle body replaced after complaint about idle issue. Did not fix problem. Now Toyota denies that there is a problem.
New chassis fitted due to severe impact causing engine mount to break into chassis.
Sold the Prado. Now FJ Cruiser
