I would prefer a pop out one (like in the rear arm rest)and the perfect spot would have been where the CD stacker is located. These days does one really need a stacker when songs can be burnt onto a CD or DVD or USB stick.
Damn, the world moves to fast for me, i am still trying to get over the demise of the 8 track cassette player

The gents at the car wash broke mine this weekend. I called a couple of Lexus dealers and it will cost them $151 because here you have to buy the whole cup holder console piece. I am glad it is on thier bill and not mine.

If your not worried about originality, go to clark rubber and get a little bit of their black rubber foam stuff, cut to size that stuff holds fast.
Its the stuff that old/ cheap body boards or kids kick boards were made of.

            Just a thought.

Rather than the half peanut butter container, stick two stubby holders in there. Do it with all my cars. Good for cans, smaller cans like v's will be more secure, beers, phones, sunnies, garage door flickers, or any other nick nacks that need to be contained. Plus you always have a stubby holder on standby. Also, you can always remove it and temporarily chuck it in the adjacent ladies handbag centre console if u need to stick a large maccas drink or longneck in there..

My old 80 series GXL had a useless slot in the dash, I discovered that the pop out cup holder from a Sahara model fit the slot. One of the easiest and best mods I made to that old rig, pity one of those cup holders don't fit a Prado.

Until this thread was revived, I never knew there were "wings" on the centre divide.

It slots into the centre of the cup holding space and it adjustable with its arms.
