more so, i have an ARB roof rack, and have the Kaymar Jack and Shovel holder on the side. as it rains a lot here, and the prado normally gets a hose down once a week, the hi-lift jack drips rusty waster down the rear quarter panel and the rear side window.
does anyone else have this issue?
my prado is white, so it becomes more obvious when it dries and stains.
i have tried numerous sprays, etc on the hi-lift, but sooner or later, it drips rusty water. i have also tried the neoprene boot, and also a canvas bag, but for some reason, these boots/covers still fill with water/mud, and eventually drip from the drain eyelets.
i have the Hi Lift brand hi lift jack from ARB.
short of removing the hi-lift and just fitting it for every trip, would anyone suggest anything otherwise. its a bit of a pain lifting it up and down for every trip, as its locked and tied down tight so it doesn't rattle on the mounts.
the rusty water stains do polish out, and eventually i can see that quarter panel being like new compared to the rest of the prado without any polish.
cheers for any help and suggestions.
