Check with the guy I bought mine from as he still has some listed on E-bay.
He also cut mine to suit for a little bit more.
I just gave him the key number

My first Prado key cracked at 40k - replaced without question by dealer. Second key went at 85K - replaced again without question. Seems to be a bit of a pattern there! 40k's worth of starting and they're history! Wife's Yaris is made of more flexible, rubbery material. We'll see how that lasts.

I wasnt going to spend $320 on a new key yesterday, but the dealer charged the wife $130 just for the teardrop solid key with the chip inside.
Not happy, but at least we have a spare key now. When I get time I will have to source this ebay thing out.

Just to let you guys know here some info. When I purchased my Prado It only come with 1 master key and one valet key. So it was off to Toyota spare parts to ask some questions about another key. To get another new key it was mid $350 dollars plus you had to get Toyota to program it up ouch.

My Toyota service department do offer new casing for $30 cut and ready to go, and also a new master key with out the remote just the transponder for about $200. Oh Toyota advised me if I lose the last master key the cost to have the vehicle reprogrammed and new keys would be around the $1500 mark.

So my next step was to see if I could find out how to reprogram a new key which was found on the net got to love the internet. Now it was time to find another key this was sourced from the following ebay seller http://stores.ebay.com.au/keypad-king $180 later the key turned up. Using the instruction from the net I had the key reprogrammed in about 15mins of to Mr minute $8.00 later and I had a new remote master key for $200.

So i hope this helps some!

If you lock Your Keys in your car Try This:

                      Hi Guy's and Girls,
                      I have not tried this but it is worth a shot before calling RACQ,NRMA etc. although it is pretty hard to do with a Prado but could help with another car;

Have you locked your keys in the car?

Does your car have remote keyless entry? This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a mobile phone: If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their mobile phone or home phone from your mobile phone.

Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock.Saves someone from having to
drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other "remote" for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the boot).
Editor's Note: It works fine! We tried it out and it unlocked our car over a mobile phone!"

The things you can do with a Mobile Aye

Very unlikely that you can unlock a Prado's door using a mobile phone . I haven't looked at it too hard but generally most car keys are 400 mhz code hopping RF devices , some really old systems may be infrared or ultrasonic . A mobile phone will only respond to a very limited audio frequency range which is then compressed again then packitised ,so the laws of physics are against this concept .
I must have a look at one with a spectrum analyser , could also probably decode it with a frame analyser (cost about $100,000 for the instruments)
This is part of a very long list on the internet the only one that is true is the IMIE address.
The blokes at work from the Mobiles area laugh themselves silly at some of these claims .
By the way a key must contain a RFID device for the car to be imobilised, this is nothing more than a simple passive tuned RF circuit also used in building entry systems and to stop you from nicking stuff from stores

This is total different to the way that you program the 120 keys.
