what do you reckon? Since these are going on your car and not mine, you can vote on it.
      - Ally with machined rounded edges
      - Steel with 45deg corners

An additional thought... if we went with aluminium and as it doesn't rust like steel and is hidden behind the tyre, the cost per set could be cut down to low to mid $40'ish if we forgo anodizing.

Better get these moving as I see that switched is getting some 70series fitted early Jan. and Toyotaman is driving around without a spare

Right! Sorry! Been slack in checking back at whats been going on regarding this. Too much work to do......

      Definitely still interested!

My thoughts are you'd have to go the aluminium for the anti-rust benefit. I don't mind if everybody wants em anodised, I'll be happy to pay more for this. But also happy to go un-anodised as well to keep costs down if that's the preferred option. Machine rounded sounds the go to get rid of too many sharp edges and to get a decent bit of kit. Looking at some 70 profile tyres next year sometime as well.

Are we just putting some dosh in the mail?? Or internet banking transfer? Either way let me know when the money's needed. I might be away from home for 3 weeks around Christmas, but I'll try and check back if it's go time! Anticipate being back around 5th Jan.

I'm also interested. Happy to go with the consensus on materials and finish. Any firm ideas on price?

Here is the rough pricing I have come up with.

Supply of 12.7mm thick aluminium spacer, black anodised and high tensile bolts - $50-56 (depending on which anodiser I use and assuming 5 sets being anodised)

Add $13.50 for extra thick 25mm spacer

Add $10 for 3kg regular satchel (From Aus Post website, this is the cost for del from Adelaide to Perth, Melbourne, Alice, Mackay)

So just a minute. will the 12.7mm spacer be enough for say BFG 265/70's?

            Costs sound ok by me.

Yes. That is the same thickness as the dog bone spacers and I have put MTRs 265/70R17 just this week and there is plenty of room.

                Hi,
I'm also interested in a set of 12.7mm spacers.

                    Count me in,

I have just had a full set of open country all terrains (LT265/70/17) put on. The spare still fits but I fear that there may be some inappropriate touching going on between the tyre and paint work so I am keen.

What are you doing with regards to payment? I can send a postal order or direct debit or credit card if you have the facilities. Just let me know.

Do you want me to pm my address to you?

                    Cheers,

                    Will

You can count me in also for some 12.7mm spacers as I'll be getting some 70's in the very near future.

Thanks for the new additions. Should certainly make things cheaper now.
If anyone has noticed, I have been updating the thread above with the full list of everyone who has responded.

I'm heading to the machinist on Monday to instruct him to start on the 6 sets of 12.7mm. I'll also head into Capral for the 25mm thick material. I will PM you guys with my bank details as that is probably the easiest. The final costs will be calculated once I have paid for them. You can then reply the PM with your delivery address. These should be completed on the other side of Christmas.

I have seen my machinist and he will be starting this job 1st week in the new year. Hopefully this isn't too late for switched.

For any other interested parties, it's still not too late to put your hand up.

When visiting Capral, they had some 19.05mm off cuts. So I got these for noddy7. They work out at the same price as they were higher grade aluminium (6061 instead of 6060). I decided to go with these as 25mm is a bit too much overhang and Toyotaman did mention that 20mm would be ideal for him. So 19.05mm was close enough.

Toyotaman, if you are still interested, I can head back to Capral to get some more 19.05mm off cuts. I spied 2 more pieces that can do your job. I didn't get them today as I wasn't sure if you are still going ahead.

                                Hi Andrew,

Sorry for not getting back to you earlier, i have been away down south. Yes i am still very keen to go ahead with the 19.05mm thick alloy spacers with the rounded edges and the anodized finished. Let me know if you would like me to direct transfer the funds into your account or i can send you a cheque. Can you remind me, will the anodise colour be black. Thanks again for all the effort you have put in to this project.
