  • How do I route blue tooth mic to top of A-Pillar?

Hi all, can someone recommend the best way for routing the cable from the blue tooth mic from the Head Unit to the top of the A-Pillar which to me seems to be the best location for the mic, given its proximity to the driver?

Another alternative would be on too of the steering wheel column cover directly behind the steering wheel.

    Appreciate your input on this.

Should be very easy to do - remove the two screws holding the grab handle on, remove the trim, run the cable and refit the trim and handle. I did the same thing with the wiring for my Car DVR - took all of five minutes.

How did you route the cable from the Head Unit to the bottom of the A-pillar? Is there an access point to that location, or did you squeeze the cable in there and jam it in between the lower dashboard and car frame up to the bottom of the A-pillar?

        Cheers.

As above remove grab handle and run cable through existing clips but keep away from airbag, you can
thread cable through cavity at bottom of A pillar to under dash.

When replacing trim remove push clips from car a pillar frame and attach to plastic cover, if you don't
you'll most likely push them through and they will fall down inside the cars body work.

I was going up the passenger side but there was quite a large access route - I can't imagine it will be any different on the drivers side.

The easiest way is to remove the rubber trim surrounding the drivers side door and run the wire up beside the curtain. I have run my mic cable straight up and hung it over the top of the plastic till i could put it all back together. Also there is a gap just big enough to push the cable through on the side od the dash next to the big bolt. From there, i just run it under the dash

Read the title, my suggestion is carefully, watch the sac doesn't get caught on the steering wheel....

Thanks Trekrider, turned out to be a fairly easy job, once the two screws holding the handle are undone, the cover comes off rather easily. Appreciate your input.

                    Hi Guys,

Can anyone tell me if there is an issue with the air bag and the removal of the Pillar cover?

                    Cheers

I do not have side curtains, I am really not sure, I suggest that you remove the battery just in case.
