  • custom Billet Optima Battery tray

Been looking at these for a while on evil bay, has anyone got something similar as the Optima battery is a little shorter to the standard battery and the bracket needs packing.

only concern I have is; would the mounting system put stress on the battery in a 4wd?

    cheers

Necessary? I have a D27M sitting on the existing tray with no issues.

I'm not sure its meant for four wheel drives as it doesn't really hold the battery in any way...

They clamp the battery at the bottom and not over the top as would be the normal way of doing it. There is a similar set up on Myswag on another brand of vehicle.

I like the look of these as the battery looks like it is just sitting there in the engine bay, but I worry the base tabs could crack and break after prolonged off road abuse.
