You have done some really good work there.

A question.... what is the reasoning behind the rhs through the side of the bar? I have seen it done this way by others too.
    (Pics attached for clarity).

Again.... well done. The finished product, and the way you have gone about the job is a credit to you.

Ahhh! Silly me. You did mention that in the text. It just didn't register with me. Getting old and not so sharp!

I got the wiring done for the rear lamp and rear mounted Aerial today:

I ran the cables in split tubing down the arm to the rear quarter then put some glands in the plastic cover (behind the rear quarter trim so it won't show). I then ran split tubing up inside behind the rear light then down the inside. All out of the way

If you don't mind me asking how much do you think it cost you roughly?

Hard to say as I got a lot of support for this project (supplying steel, shot blasting, painting, etc.) as favours so I didn't have to pay If I had to pay I'm guessing it would have been around the $1,200 mark plus my time and electric for the welder.

I got to try out the HiLift jacking points on the rear bar whilst modifying the rear suspension:

I also modified the left arm to take the HiLift mounting point:

That's a great job. It's still a work in progress with other ideas coming a long. Isn't that always the way.

                        Awesome build!

Re the HR towbar, I just had one fitted and it uses the same crossmember threaded holes as the OE towbar as well as the threaded holes in the chassis rails. If you have used those for your bar then the HR bar won't fit.

Thanks D4D, I did use the OE towbar holes but not the threaded holes in the chassis. This is the same mounting as the rear bar MLC fitted and he was still able to fit an HR towbar. Talking to MLC and looking at his photo's I think the HR towbar will fit with mine.

Cool, how about you make me a rear bar and I'll let you know if it fits with the HR towbar

Hi Trekrider we are in the same neck of the woods ( Rockingham ). How much was the powder coating minus sandblasting and did you use Safetech powder coasters here in Rockingham ? I am making my own wheel carrier as well but doing some things a little different to you. Next time you need any welding done send me a PM I am a boilermaker - welder and have a mig at home and more then happy to help out with welding.
