Hey guys. Still in the process of making my roof console and now looking to wrap it in vinyl but have no idea where to look for it. Anyone have a locale shop in Adelaide they know of or website they have had experience with.

Clark rubber have a limited range as do Bunnings, else I suggested you try
a motor trimmer or boat mob.

Theres a few chains that do vinyl, as leigh said jenkins do it. Most motor trimmers will sell it to you as well but higher prices depending on what colour your chasing. Also try Spotlight, they keep upholstery vinyl, fake leather and suede plus heavy duty upholstery threads.

Theres a few different grades of vinyl out there too so ask a few questions to get the right stuff for your job, 2x things to remember when working with vinyl; it needs a really good adhesive with no air bubbles at all or its going to sag after a year or so and its also pretty time consuming to stitch the heavy stuff even with a sewing machine.

Sounds like a good project, cant wait to see it all finished!

I got some Toyota beige vinyl from auto-trim shop who had it by the roll. Same as the beige color of the Prado. Most auto trimmers can get hold of it. I would suddest you try Willshire at South Rd Marlston, or Monaco Auto trimmers just down the road from you at Newton. If you need biege I have some left overs but not sure it would be enough.

ok well i ended up at clark rubber and picked up some vinyl and finished my roof console, not happy with the finish and will start from scratch with a new one, very similar design but will have a auto trimmer finish it off for me.

It can be really tricky to get it just right. A few prototypes are often needed before it works the way you want it too - just ask Microsoft! Also, You could also try Dashoriginal at Holden Hill. Those guys do a lot quality work, for a price!
