Rear Door Hinge ?

Have been caught a few times on a slope and or where the wind has caught the door..

Slams with a BANG..

I know there is the ability to lock at fully open...

But has any one found a mod to allow locking at different openings or replacing said bracket with a ram ?

Hi also be careful with the door open and a big wind gust ,Had my door open and locked while fishing on the beach and a wind gust hit and bent the door. New door was about $4000 :cry: Lucky for insurance

Bugger... I guess a shut door means less salt spray... But good thing you were not in the back doing up a rig...

I am still trying to figure out how to even do that (lock it fully open)! There is a diagram showing on the arm itself, but I am lost!

Push the link towards the hinge. (The door needs to be fully open)

In my case, the link won't lock with the door fully open. I need to apply pressure to the link as the door is reaching its fully open position. Once the door is in the right position (almost fully open), you will feel the link slot-in and the door will be secured.

I use the locking mechanism all the time. I find the door needs pushing slighly beyond the fully open position ( ie hold the pressure ) then lightly tap the side of the link bar with the heel of the foot. It will move about 1cm fuirther into the locked position. Same with release - push the door a bit more open to release the pressure, then firmly pull the link bar towards you. A spray of silicone lubricant now and again on the moving bits helps.
