    Re: BUTTON START

I had a Lada Niva once with a push start!

Looked like a rear window and was heated for winter.

Oh heavens to Betsy. Don't admit on a public forum that you once owned a Lada Niva!

Mum and Dad in the back of the car putting in the shopping   Is that what you tell the kids . "HEY DAD WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN THE BACK OF THE CAR WITH MUM ? " " JUST PUTTING THE SHOPPING IN SON " " WELL HOW ABOUT HELPING MUM OUT WITH THE HEAVY STUFF SHE IS MAKING STRANGE NOISES STRUGGLING WITH THOSE BIG BAGS "....I grew out of that way before I became a dad , what is wrong with making sure the kids are not around for starters .

          Re: BUTTON START

Just stumbled onto this thread. I had the old keys bashing around when off road issue also, and made a rediculously simple fix. Had a quick search, couldn't find any other threads references.

          Piece of hi density foam

          Cut through the middle

          Keys through the middle...

          Done...no more belting around...
          Just lives in my console.

Simple fixes are the best :!:

I have some velcro tie wraps...I just wrap it round several times...I hate that banging keys

I just take the car key off the key ring and put the other keys in the glove box. That is the simplest method for me.

And another bit of similar foam placed around your head to stop the head banging against the roof or door pillar when negotiating those difficult tracks!
