    Rear Camera

    Hey Piggy,
    Would you post some info in regards to this like.
    1. Pictures of how to
    2. Type you used
    3. Cost
    4. Finished product , ect
    I have seen the one on Lcool but that looks like a lot of work and panels to remove. Is yours the same or done with more ease.

    Exactly the same and was pretty easy, the one on cool did look difficult but in reality it wasnt.
    Same principle was followed.
    I didnt take pics as I did this one (time constraints) and sadly dont think I will be pulling it apart for a few more months to do some other stuff, but will take some then.

      Have been told that you can run wires from behind dash up through roof lining which i guess in theory could make it easier.
      What are your thoughts?

        Roof lining would be harder, it is easy as to go thru the side door scuff plates, trust me, go that way.

          Yep i think you are right had a look and don't think that would be a good idea.

            I ended up ordering a camera from the US. Worked out considerably cheaper than anywhere I could get it here in Aust.! If anyone needs a contact for them.. just pm me.

                $294 Aust. Cheapest anywhere else I could find was about $350

                  Camera arrived today. Great solid little camera. Actually I'm impressed with everything about the eclipse kit. I didn't realise they were a metal casing.!
                  Definate quality here, I see now why they charge what they do. And I'm sure its smaller than some of the others I've seen around on the Grande's.
                  Will be saturdays project, but already I can recommend this camera.
                  It is the Eclipse BEC-106. pm me if you want to know where to get it for a good price.

                    I think from memory mine was only about $215 from Freeways in Vic or was it NSW !

                    Someone here bought one recently from them after asking me where to go. (I love telling people where to go :roll: )

                        I emailed Freeways after you give me their name last week, they quoted me $330 and they reckoned I might need an adapter to suit my sat nav which was another $35.
                        Maybe they take turn about as to who they give a good deal to.!! I get that sometimes.. :lol: Maybe I should've "told em where to go" 8)

                          I might add a couple of places I rang here in Perth wanted $400. Is yours the BEC-106 or the BEC-105.?

                            BEC-106 and I think they may do retail & trade pricing there. I know I got trade.
                            No adaptor is needed, you actually end up throwing bits of it away that you take off.

                              Ahh you've got me curious now.. I might drop them another email to see what they would do on trade. I could've arranged it on trade if needed. It's handy having a mate thats a mechanic. 8)
