Hi all,
went today to inspect my car and get a couple of things out of it as it's still at the panel beaters. I saw that they had taken the chassis off the body (sight to see, will post pics soon - refer to my build up thread for why it's at the panel beaters) and asked them if they would fit different springs with no labour costs. Since they've already got the car to bits they agreed.
Now, the problem is, that I had soft fronts and medium backs installed, and it simply does not give me enough clearance (20mm more than standard).
I'm thinking of getting Heavy duty installed front and rear to get the extra clearance.
Now as far as weight is concerned, at the front there is an alloy bar, with spotties and antenna, and will soon be getting dual battery and maybe a winch, at the back it will be receiving drawers + fridge.
Am I going overboard with the Heavy Duty springs, and is it going to make the vehicle noticeably rougher or is it more than a good trade off for the extra clearance?
