    Hey Chester,

I went for the lifted springs, normally rated plus poly air bags. It is awesome. Great for day driving and great when you put a load on the back. You just increase or decrease the air pressure accordingly.

i was pissed off. But yeah I could have tried those again. I just had seen a few Prado's which had the large lift with all the gear on and they were using OME so I just went with that. Very happy with the car since.

Rear 800mm (this has the air suspension like the grande. Measurement was taken when car was switched off and normally the car goes down slightly)

                Hello all,
Well I am a little dissapointed with just how high the rear has stated up on my 120 series.
The front was a little higher than I wanted, front went up 58mm, I wantrd 50, but the extra 8mm was here nor there.

The rear is what really concerned me.
Rear had gone up 87mm, and for me, that was just too much.
I returned to the fitting center, and for a small cost, they refitted my original suspension.
I really just could not feel happy with such variance in heights.

So I emailed Iron Man, in Aus.
Very , very helpfull, asked me what Iron Man springs were fitted, and all the load now, and my expected load on trips.
                Totally about 300kg.

                Front springs were TOYO 55B
                Rear springs were TOYO 56C

Iron Man were very quick to point out, that the rear springs fitted were far to hard, and this was why she had the rear in the clouds.
TOYO 56C were not right, and the fitting center should have fitted TOYO 56B.
A quick telephone call to the fitting center, and they confirmed that the TOYO 56C were for carry an additional 300kg.
So the fitting center did some further investigation, and said the 'B' spring kit that had been ordered, had arrived wrong, and the rears should have been TOYO 56B.
Unfortunatly, the fitter did not realise my vehicle was to have 'B' springs, front and rear.

They will get the proper 'B' springs for my rear, and refit the whole lot again, free of charge.

i went and got some new front stuts today as my bottom bushes are flogged, (they have been in for 3 years and have 70k under their belt ) so i was going to get the std ironman nitrogas 35mm strut and ended up walking out with the bigger bore 41mm foamcell struts for the same price ( a steal at $135 each)because they didnt have any 35mm in stoc,k so they upgraded them to the 41mm. so im as happy as a pig in pooh  . they came with a 16mm trim packer as well, but im thinking i might go a 10mm instead just so i dont to the shocks out or give me some more down dravel, i will fit them in the next few weeks cheers samo

put the foamcells in today and took the poly coil spacer out and used the proper 16mm steel spacer that comes with the strut, after install took it for run i must say its a different vehicle to drive, handles bumps hell of a lot better and doesnt top the struts out anymore, as i only had 30mm dowtravel left with the old struts, now i have 60mm down travel as the new struts r longer (old strut with wheel off ground was 835mm and new strut with wheel off the ground is 865mm)it just generally handles better, these foamcells seem to have better rebound as when i hit a bump, im very happy. the height hasnt changed either, im sitting at 805 and 810mm in the front. cheers samo

Well after putting in new front coils and new shocks all round last night (new coils for rear turn up next week) I'm at the 816mm give or take a mm :| Little worried to tell you the truth, hoping it drops a good 5-10mm over the next week or two.

Any way to get them to settle in well?

Rear will be up around 840mm with abit of luck when the new coils are in.

Didn't have to worry about so much with the old rig

                            G'day RustyTruck.
Im jealous of your front lift - ive just have the OME medium and you've got a good 30mm on me!!

Ive also got the ARB deluxe bar and was wondering how you find the UHF antenna works with the bracket?. Cant see myself putting the stick on the side wing like im being told but apprently the elevated feed shakes that much on the 120 that it will fail?

Look forward to any feedback you may have on this set-up.

                              Hey mate,

Yeh mate, I couldnt be happier with the front now. Just waiting for my rear to turn up this week and I will slip them in. By the way, I have the same coils which I have just installed in the front for sale, brand new  I ordered two pairs ops:

As for the UHF, works well. I was going to weld a tab on there along with two more light tabs ontop of the bar but haven't found a paint that will match and really have other things I want to do to the car first.

Not to sure if you mean the aerial will fail or the mount? Drop me a PM mate.

                              Cheers

Well after putting in the new rear springs on the weekend, going for a decent drive and getting a wheel alignment I'm at the following figures:

180 Litres of Fuel and Fridge in back.

                                Front-820mm
                                Rear-830mm

Considering a 25mm spacer in the back now :?
