Curiously, with the IFS, does every mm gain in lift also mean one mm less in down-travel of the wheel... So it becomes a tradeoff between clearing the obstacle (with extra lift) vs keeping more wheels on the ground longer (with less lift)?

Ok here are the figures after a bit of settling

Iron man 2 inch lift kit pack springs and shocks (diesel kit) purchased directly from Iron man for $880 and fitted by my local mechanic total price $1200 with wheel alignment

Acessories ARB Bar plus duel batteries

Suspension in for about 3 months the bar on for 3 weeks

        Front 780mm
        Rear 810mm

Measured with 80l weaco in the back (not sure of the weight) and 90l of fuel

I found the ARB bar has actually settled the front end as it wash a bit harsh when i first got the kit installed with no bar
Dont list all ya mods, you will only be more upset when i get further

Sovereign Bull Bar, nothing in back, 90lt of fuel

          Before...
          Front: 738mm
          Rear: 770mm

After fitting Tough Dog 30mm lift kit with medium springs...
          Front: 770mm
          Rear: 830mm

I would have preferred a bit more at the front and less at the rear but when both tanks are full and the back is loaded it levels out nicely. Improvement offroad is out of sight regardless.

OME 2" lift, all round was what I sked for anyway

            FL = 765mm

            RR = 835mm
            RL = 825mm

not sure why these are about the same different measurements on either side

Righto, Time to post my OME fit. On the rig I've got a winch bar (no other additional armour), dual bats, spotties and air up front. Rear is with rear seats mounted and folded, no rear drawer system and no roof rack or bar work.

              Prior to fitting:
              FRONT: 735
              REAR: 780

After fitting of OME884/90000 up front and OME896/60005 at rear
              FRONT: 790
              REAR: 844

After 500km check so a slight settlement:
              FRONT: 787
              REAR: 837

              Loving it

Had EFS Suspension done a week ago and done some 500K

                  LF740
                  RR780
                  LR770
After fitting dual batteries and having 40L Ingel plus 100L of fuel-
                  RF790
                  LF790
                  RR830
                  LR825
Very happy with the ride. A bit firmer than original as I expected but a lot more stable when cornering and on rough roads.
Now to put on few K's on them.

Had our 500km check-up today since the OME install (OME884/90000 up front & OME896/60005 at rear). We have a sovereign bullbar with spot lights up front, ARB deluxe roof rack on top and variable loads in the rear and behind (when towing)!

                    Standard suspension:
                    FRONT: 635
                    REAR: 745

                    After OME fitted:
                    FRONT: 795
                    REAR: 825

                    After 500km OME check:
                    FRONT: 790
                    REAR: 830

Well 2 years (almost), 25,000kms and a stack of extra weight have been added to the Prado and the medium RidePros have sagged to about 760mm in the front (replaced alloy bar with ARB and added Warn winch) and 810mm in the rear (with Polyairs at about 7 PSI). Decided I needed to get the front end lift back and beef up the back for a 3 month Cape York/NT trip towing a 1200kg camper. Didn't want the Polyairs doing all the work.

Medium RidePros have now been replaced with Old Man Emu HD springs (OME 885 and 897). Only installed today and initial lift has gone to 810mm front and 860mm rear. Will expect this to settle.

                      Cheers - Byrnsie

Just had OME suspension fitted (front 884 springs, rear 896. Sports shocks)

                          Front :
                          Before : 740mm ( no bullbar)
After : 790 mm ( I had a steel bullbar fitted at the same time )

                          Rear :
                          Before : 760mm
                          After : 830mm

The car drives a lot better, it's like a different vehicle.
                          Very happy so far.
