I've had a similar experience with the rear springs to you rob_macca67. Started out at 830mm on day of installed and quickly settled to 815mm. Now sits at 805-810 with full tanks. I have no issue with the rear height at the moment but will if it sags further.

The fronts have been 765-770 since installed.

Hi ya Rob, I haven't read the conversation in full but are you comparing apples with apples...? I notice you've got a 150 and this is a 120 thread
I know they may be close but will they be the same??
      Cheers, Leon

I dont' reckon that there would be too much differences but I'm more interested in the differences between brands.... Looks like I picked the wrong brand for the height I wanted to achieve.... but as far as ride goes, they're are great

The Lovells 120 series springs are the same as their 150 series springs. Dobinsons have developed specific springs for the 150 series. For details, have a look in the Suspension Database.

Hmmm... I'd be going back to them and asking for a please explain. Given you outlined your expectations, I don't see why with those weights you shouldn't still have the lift you want.

I'm wondering if the coils were labelled wrong?
Assuming that the number of turns are the same between the TFR118 and TFR118HD, then the TFR118HD should have a thicker wire diameter seeing as it has a higher spring rate.

                    Rob,
I noticed you have Lovells front struts. They have an adjustable spring seat and should have been supplied with two 10mm and two 20mm spacers to adjust the front ride height. The 10mm spacers will give you about 20mm more front lift and the 20mm spacers will give you about 40mm. I assume yours have not been fitted with the spacers, which could now be used to raise the front of your vehicle back to an acceptable height.

These struts are fitted with the smaller 10mm spring seat spacers:

Also, according to the Lovells catalogue for the 150 series diesel heavy duty application, they recommend the TFR118HD front springs with TRR119HD rear springs.

I'm currently running the Lovells front struts with light duty OME springs and 20mm spring seat spacers in my Prado. This gives me a front ride height of 810mm with an alloy bar and no winch. With the 10mm spacers, the ride was 790mm and 770mm with no spacer.

Rob, make sure they have fitted the correct 150 series Lovells gear to yours, the part numbers are:
                        Front strut 64610087F
                        Rear shock 64612489

Pete.... Just read the catalog and those spacers are only recommended for Prados with KDSS suspension fitted.... but I will still ask

Yes, from memory the KDSS needs a 20mm spacer on the RHS strut to level the ride. Each strut is supplied with a 10mm and a 20mm spacer, so if you don't have KDSS they can be used to adjust the ride height and compensate for the relatively short Lovells springs.

Well.... I took the car back to the installers and told them of my disappointment of the lift.... He was surprised of the sag and told me he will ring Lovells for a solution.....
From previous experience in these sort of situations...... I wait and see where they come through or not....
