You'll need some aftermarket shocks with firmer valving rates.

You have a 10 year old vehicle, have the shocks ever been changed ?

Shocks are probably the most neglected part of most vehicles, so if you have the originals that's where I would start.

My car has just turned 5 with 109,000km and I'm on my 3rd set of shocks - originals were in for about 2K and the first set of Bilsteins were replaced at 90K.

          Definitely up for some shocks.
You will lose the soft/firm adjustment to go to aftermarket shocks, but they will be far superior to the OE items anyway.

          Regards, Jason.

Not sure I entirely agree with that, regardless sounds like this a tow vehicle more than a serious off roader, any reputable brand will be a huge improvement over original shocks with 180k on the clock. Shocks are a bit like tyres, ask 5 people which brand to go for and you'll get 8 different opinions.

                  Cheers Andrew

Passenger vehicles on bitumen, replace shocks every 80,000klms. Offroad even more often, so u have the old shocks? Well that's a problem.

They're the factory TEMS shocks adjustment. I would get after market shocks like Bilstein, TJM, etc than to go back to Toyota.
