front suspension damage - what is bent here?

Hi guys
long absense from this forum - so long i forgot my username and had to re-register :-(

Have just bought a 120 GX prado diesel as i picked up for a good price due to being damaged - i have attached some pics below of the drivers front suspension, obviously she has had a light front end collision but looks like the wheel took the impact. In comparing the left and right suspension components i cant see (anything obvious) that looks bent? I wound out the camber adjustment and that made the wheel look more "vertical" but it is still rubbing on the stabiliser link or steering knuckle? (think that what its called - links the upper and lower wishbones)
You can see in the picture from underneath where the tyre is rubbing - compared to the other side looks like the tyre has moved in around 15mm
I suspect that this is what is bent - just doesnt look like it has? -any other ideas/things i may have missed woud love to hear anyones input

It could be anything from a slight bend in the UCA to where the UCA mounts to the body. No real way of knowing without stripping the suspension out of both sides and then comparing parts and dimensions. Take it to a panel beater and see if they can eyeball the problem, very hard from those two shots.

I'd say the swivel hub's bent for a start.

i agree
the upright & the top arm should be replaced

make sure you can turn all 4 lower control arm bolts before you do anything
if they turn remove them all 1/2 way and add some never seize in the hole & on the exposed bolt and refit ( save you having to cut them later !! )

if you buy the upright make sure if yours has ABS you get the same and ask them to leave the bearing assembly on
to be safe you may as well get the lower control arm ( i got mine from gold coast 4x4 for $110 ea with the pivot bolts )

there are plenty of wrecked cars so shop around

steering knuckles not so easy to come by!, thanks for the links to the uppers and lowers - looks like i have got some work to do!
(first stop is getting a ball joint separator!)

have ordered knuck and new upper and lower control arm - just noticed something on the weekend when i had to move it around -
if i reverse the car (straight) the wheel straightens up - driver forward and it splays out to the side again... (the whole time its still rubbing on the upper part of the knuckle) all the bushes are there....hopefully the upper/lower c/a fixes this as there is not much left to change!
