    Hi, I'm new around here!
Looking for input on suspension for the 120 petrol.
It has travelled around the 110klms mark.
I have started towing a camper trailer which is 1400kgs dry and around 140kgs tow ball weight dry.
    Still has standard suspension installed.
I have a standard sov front bar with a 12000 lbs winch and no 2nd battery.
Will be doing fire trails and some beach runs but nothing hard core.
Don't have a heap of the folding to throw at it but only want to do the upgrade once.
Don't care about fancy names but want reliability.
Any comments will be well received.
Can do work myself but am restricted to floor jack and stands.
    Cheers Jamie.

There's a fair bit of info in the suspension thread. You may not being seeing the older discussions due to the forum settings. Change the thread display options at the bottom of the screen to 'post from last year' or from your settings go to General settings> Default Thread age cut off and change the timeframe.

That said your suspension could probably be changed for the better. Most anything will be better. Lots of people here happy with Bilstein/Kings combo. I've got Old Man Emu and happy with it. I've also got rear Polyair Air Bags. Means I can run the medium spring combo in the rear and inflate when loaded up/towing the CT.

I like the sound of the airbags.
How do you find they hold the air pressure?
Do you have to top them up often when towing the CT?
      Cheers

Nope. Set and forget mostly. I carry a bike pump in my door pocket just in case and check pressure every so often. But not had to adjust them once inflated yet.

I did have a puncture in one once. No idea how.

Cant go wrong with a set of airbags. If you find the rear end is to stiff you can always drop some air out of them to soften up the ride. I know my airbags are reccomended to have minimum 5psi in them so they dont get squashed by the springs etc.

            Cheers joel

Could I start with some airbags in the standard suspension and then transfer to new suspension kit later or are there different sizes to match certain spring kits.
The rear drops/sags when I hitch the CT on but still drives OK, front end seems OK.

Yes. My airbags were fitted by the previous owner to the std suspension for that reason. I opted for the 2" lift when I hit 120k. Polyair provide a spacer to accomodate a lift, so if you go that route you don't need to replace the airbags. If you don't get a lift you won't need the spacer. Was only $45 for the spacers from memory.

Has anyone fitted these air bags themselves at home?
Pretty handy on the tools but only have jack and stands.
What price has users bought them for?
This looks like the right way forward till the extra $$ come in.
                  Cheers
